LBFD responded to the area after they received reports of a 48-foot-pleasure craft with 11 passengers aboard that had crashed into the rocks and overturned.

Long Beach, CA. – One person died, and multiple others were injured in a boat accident that happened Wednesday night in the Alamitos Bay in Long Beach.
According to the Long Beach Fire Department, the accident was reported just before 9:30 p.m.
LBFD responded to the area after they received reports of a 48-foot-pleasure craft with 11 passengers aboard that had crashed into the rocks and overturned.
The emergency personnel said one person, only described as a 40-50 years old, was pronounced dead.
The other 10 occupants, including 5 who required physical rescue, were taken to hospitals with injuries. Three were listed in critical condition, and seven in stable condition.
Speed is being investigated as a possible contributing factor.
