Santa Ysabel, Calif. – One person died in a two-vehicle collision that happened Saturday afternoon in Santa Ysabel, the California Highway Patrol said.

The wreck was reported around 2:41 p.m. on State Route 79 at State Route 76.

A Ford and a gray Honda were involved in the accident.

An 11-year-old child got trapped in the wreckage.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene to help the victims.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said.

No other details were given but an investigation is ongoing.
