Washington County, OR – One person was killed in a two-vehicle traffic collision on Highway 47 in Washington County late Wednesday night, the Oregon State Police (OSP) said.
The fatal crash happened at 10:32 p.m. on May 21, 2025, on southbound Highway 47, near milepost 22.
According to OSP, a Ford Econoline van was heading northbound on Highway 47 when it crossed the centerline and sideswiped a southbound Dodge Ram 1500, causing the Dodge to roll.
The driver of the Dodge was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle.
The Dodge driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
OSP said the Highway was impacted for about 10 hours as crews worked at the scene.
The van driver was arrested for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Criminally Negligent Homicide and lodged in the Washington County Jail.
The collision remains under investigation.
