One Person Suffers Major Injuries in Crash on SR-99 near Pasquini's Fine Italian Food

, CA. – A head-on collision involving an SUV and a tow truck in Live Oak left one person with major injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The Tuesday evening wreck occurred around 7:20 p.m. on State Route 99 at Kent Avenue near Pasquini's Fine Italian Food.

CHP said a Toyota Rav4 and a tow truck ferrying two cars collided head-on under unclear circumstances.

The Sutter County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and blocked in both directions.

One person was taken to the hospital with major injuries.

Both the SUV and the tow truck were towed away from the scene.

Both northbound and southbound lanes were reopened around 9:33 p.m.

Authorities are investigating the accident.
