1 Suffers Major Injuries in Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 80 near SFOBB Toll Plaza in Oakland
Oakland, California (May 22, 2022) – Authorities are investigating an Oakland motorcycle crash that left one person with serious injuries on Sunday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at about 1:20 p.m. on westbound Interstate 80 near the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge Toll Plaza off-ramp.
CHP said a fully-dressed black and white motorcycle and a blue Hyundai sedan collided for unknown reasons.
Oakland firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.
One person was hospitalized with major injuries, as per the report.
The cause and manner of the crash were not immediately established.
