1 Hospitalized after San Jacinto Car Accident on Highway 79 near Gilman Springs Road
San Jacinto, California (August 24, 2022) – One person was hospitalized with major injuries after a multi-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday evening in San Jacinto, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The pileup was reported at about 6:54 p.m. on northbound Highway 79 near Gilman Springs Road.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash, including a black pickup truck that overturned onto its roof.
A male party in the pickup truck was trapped inside.
Emergency personnel responded and transported one person to the hospital with a major injury to the left leg and multiple lacerations to the left shoulder.
At least two of the vehicles were towed away from the scene.
All northbound traffic lanes of the highway remained blocked as authorities investigated.
