Madera County, Calif. – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision near Madera Ranchos in Madera County.
The accident happened at around 2 a.m. on Avenue 9 near Road 35, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 24-year-old man was driving a Tesla when he rear-ended a motorcycle that was slowing down to make a turn.
The 39-year-old male rider of the motorcycle suffered major injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Tesla was treated for minor injuries before being arrested on suspicion of DUI.
