Perris, CA. – A bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a car in Perris on Sunday in Perris.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, the accident happened on the 1600 block of Perris Boulevard just before noon.
A bicyclist was traveling south on Perris Boulevard and was hit by a southbound Honda Pilot.
The bicyclist was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Honda Pilot, Kenneth Orlando Juarez Vega, 41, did not stop at the scene but was located and arrested on Monday.
He was booked into Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of hit-and-run with injuries and driving under the influence of alcohol.
