Lebec, Calif. – One person suffered major injuries in a semi-truck accident that happened Saturday afternoon on 5 Freeway near Fort Tejon in Lebec, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Authorities responded to the northbound lanes of the freeway just south of Grapevine Road after receiving reports of the collision around 2:13 p.m.
A semi-truck hauling a white trailer collided with a Toyota car for an unknown reason.
The vehicles were blocking the roadway after the collision.
Parties at the scene helped pull an occupant out of the car.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported one person to the hospital with serious injuries.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
