1 Injured in Newark Car Accident on 880 Freeway near Mowry Avenue
Newark, California (September 2, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a minor injury car accident that hurt at least one person on Thursday afternoon in Newark.
The collision occurred on southbound 880 Freeway, just south of Mowry Avenue, on September 2 at around 3:24 p.m.
Per the CHP officials, four vehicles crashed for unknown reasons.
Responding emergency crews attended to at least one person injured in the crash. The total number of patients and their current condition were not immediately released.
Police issued a SigAlert closing lanes 1, 2, and 3 due to the crash. The SigAlert was canceled, and the roadway cleared as of 4:45 p.m.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
Details concerning this incident were not released.
