Police said 52-year-old Scott Turner of Sweet home was heading westbound in a gray Dodge Ram 1500 when he crossed several lanes and hit an eastbound blue Dodge Ram 2500 head-on.

Linn County, OR. – A 12-year-old boy was killed after a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday night in Linn County, according to the Oregon State Police.
The accident happened at 6:17 p.m. on July 3, on Highway 20, near milepost 21.
Police said 52-year-old Scott Turner of Sweet Home was heading westbound in a gray Dodge Ram 1500 when he crossed several lanes and hit an eastbound blue Dodge Ram 2500 head-on.
The impact of the crash caused Turner's vehicle to burst into flames. Turner was extricated and rushed to the hospital with severe injuries.
His passenger, only identified as a 12-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the crash site.
The blue Dodge driver, 34-year-old William Drager suffered severe injuries and was hospitalized.
The two vehicles sustained extensive damage following the collision.
Authorities blocked the highway for about three hours as they worked on the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
