Rider Injured in East Los Angeles Motorcycle Collision on SR 60 near I-710
Los Angeles, California (October 19, 2021) – A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital after being injured in a collision in Los Angeles on Monday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcycle accident happened along the westbound lanes of Highway 60 near the 710 Freeway at about 6:30 p.m. October 18.
A motorcycle was traveling on the roadway when it collided with a white sedan. The officers who responded to the incident found the rider and the motorcycle down in the HOV lane.
The rider was injured in the crash and was transported to an area hospital for treatment in unknown condition.

- Speeding – Riding at high speeds reduces the rider's ability to slow or stop safely in case of a hazard or slowed or stopped traffic. The rider ends up crashing into other cars or losing control of the motorcycle after applying emergency brakes.
