CHP said a 19-year-old woman was riding a bicycle from the west side to the south side of Deschutes Road when she was hit by a southbound tractor-trailer

Redding, CA – A 19-year-old woman was killed in a collision between a vehicle and a bicycle in Redding on Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred on Deschutes Road at about 9:47 a.m. June 19.
CHP said a 19-year-old woman was riding a bicycle from the west side to the south side of Deschutes Road when she was hit by a southbound tractor-trailer.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
It's unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
