2 CHP Officers Injured in Hesperia Crash with Suspected DUI Driver on 15 Freeway

, CA – Two CHP officers were hurt when a suspected DUI driver slammed into a patrol vehicle in Hesperia early Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The wreck happened on the near Main Street just before 5:30 a.m.  

The officers were reportedly investigating a spinout crash on the northbound lanes of the freeway when their patrol vehicle was hit by a white 2022 Toyota Camry.

The two officers were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The other driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

A third driver also slammed into the CHP cruiser and was injured.

The driver was also taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.

The wreck led to the closure of the northbound side of the freeway as authorities investigated the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
