, Calif. – Two people were critically injured following a two-vehicle traffic collision at an intersection in Victorville on Monday evening, according to the Victorville Fire Department.

The accident happened at about 6:55 p.m. on Monday, December 18 at the intersection of Mojave Drive and Diamond Road.

Reportedly, firefighters and emergency crews responded to the scene and located a gray four-door sedan with major front-end damage and a blue four-door sedan with major damage to the driver-side door.

One of the drivers was trapped and was extricated by fire personnel using jaws of life.

Two people were airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries.
