A DUI suspect drove through the scene and nearly hit a deputy during the crash investigation.
Victorville, Calif. – Two people were critically injured following a two-vehicle traffic collision at an intersection in Victorville on Monday evening, according to the Victorville Fire Department.
The accident happened at about 6:55 p.m. on Monday, December 18 at the intersection of Mojave Drive and Diamond Road.
Reportedly, firefighters and emergency crews responded to the scene and located a gray four-door sedan with major front-end damage and a blue four-door sedan with major damage to the driver-side door.
One of the drivers was trapped and was extricated by fire personnel using jaws of life.
Two people were airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries.

The driver, identified as Michael Bruce Harvey, 51. Of Covina was arrested for DUI. He was later released.
The Victorville Police Department is investigating the incident.
