City, Ore.- Two drivers were injured after two vehicles collided on Highway 101 in Lincoln City last week Tuesday, according to Lincoln Police.

The crash happened just before 8:30 p.m. on January 16, on S Highway 101 near S 51st Street, and involved a silver Subaru WRX and a black Toyota Sequoia SUV.

Authorities say both drivers were injured in the collision.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of the Subaru was traveling southbound on S Highway 101 at a high rate of speed when he lost control, went airborne, and crashed into the Toyota SUV.

Police say both drivers were transported to an area hospital, adding that the Subaru driver was arrested on charges of reckless driving and reckless endangering.
