Two Injured in Petaluma Car Accident on Lakeville Highway
Petaluma, California (August 9, 2022) – Two drivers were injured in a crash on Lakeville Highway in Petaluma on Monday morning, according to the Petaluma Police Department.
The incident took place between Frates Road and Browns Lane shortly before 6 a.m. on August 8.
Police said a 35-year-old man was driving a white Chevrolet Spark eastbound on the highway when he tried to make an illegal pass and collided with an oncoming white Toyota Rav4 driven by a 50-year-old woman.
Both drivers were trapped in the wreckage and were unconscious. They were extricated by Petaluma police and firefighters.
The drivers were taken to the hospital with moderate to major injuries.
The cause of the collision is ongoing.
