2 Drivers Severely Hurt in Head-On Crash on Highway 121 in Sonoma

County, Calif. – Abraham Ibarrarodriguez, 89, of and another driver were hospitalized after a head-on crash on Highway 121 in Sonoma County early Tuesday morning.

According to the CHP, the wreck happened at around 12:30 a.m. on State Route 121 near Sears Point.

Reportedly, a Ford Fusion was headed south on Highway 121 when it veered into the northbound lane near Sears Point and collided head-on with a northbound Toyota Highlander.

The Fusion then rolled onto the east shoulder.

Ibarrarodriguez and the other driver suffered serious injuries. One was airlifted to Sutter Regional Hospital and the other to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

The police said Ibarrarodriguez was driving under influence at the time of the wreck.

The crash remains under investigation.
