Two vehicles collided Monday afternoon on the freeway just north of Highway 22
Santa Ana, Calif. – Two people were sent to the hospital after a traffic collision that happened Monday afternoon on 5 Freeway in Santa Ana, the California Highway Patrol said.
The collision was reported around 12:40 p.m. in the southbound lanes just north of Highway 22.
A gray Toyota 4Runner and a white sedan were involved in the accident. One of the cars overturned and landed on its wheels.
Emergency personnel transported two people to UCI Medical Center. One patient had minor injuries from the crash, and the other was hospitalized for an unknown medical issue.
The crash is under investigation.
