2 Suffer Moderate Injuries in Nevada City Accident on Highway 20 near Casci Road
Nevada City, California (June 9, 2022) – Two drivers were hospitalized after their cars collided head-on Wednesday afternoon in Nevada City, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck occurred at about 2:28 p.m. on Highway 20, just west of Casci Road.
A gray 2019 Nissan Frontier collided with a gray 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer under unclear circumstances. Both cars were blocking the roadway after the accident.
Firefighters responded to the scene to find both drivers with moderate injuries. The motorists were taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center for treatment.
Both traffic lanes were temporarily blocked after first responders arrived, but the eastbound lane was reopened half an hour later. The westbound lane was reopened at around 3:50 p.m.
