San Diego, CA. – Two people were sent to the hospital after a multi-vehicle accident that happened Monday afternoon on a freeway in San Diego.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported just before 3 p.m. on the westbound 8 Freeway, just east of Fairmount Avenue.
Three vehicles, including a gray Toyota Corolla and a red Tesla, were involved in the pileup.
Airbags were deployed in the Toyota, which had an elderly person inside.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help the motorists.
One person was transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital with minor injuries, and another person to Sharp Grossmont Hospital also with minor injuries.
CHP officers are investigating the collision.
