2 Injured, 1 Critically in Head-On Collision on Cathedral Oaks Road in Goleta

, Calif. – A man was seriously injured in a head-on collision in Goleta Saturday morning, according to the authorities.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department. responded to the wreck at around 10:45 p.m. on the 6300 block of Cathedral Oaks Road between Los Carneros and Glen Annie roads.

A Jeep Cherokee collided head-on with a Dodge pickup in the area in unclear circumstances.

The Cherokee driver sustained severe injuries and was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.

The other driver suffered minor injuries.

The identities of the victims were not immediately released.

Cathedral Oaks Road was closed for some hours during investigations.
