, California (August 1, 2022) – Two people were injured in a traffic collision that took place in Corona on Friday night, according to a local news source.

The crash involved a California Highway Patrol cruiser, a Mazda, and a tow .

At around 11:40 p.m. on July 29, the CHP officer was stopped on the near Avenue to help the tow truck driver.

The Mazda reportedly failed to slow down and slammed into the cruiser and the tow truck.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and attended to the CHP officer and the driver of the Mazda.

The Mazda driver was then taken to hospital with serious injuries while the officer was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident.
