The CHP reported that a white GMC truck was traveling west on 7th Standard Road when it drifted into the eastbound side and collided head-on with a semi-truck

Bakersfield, CA.- Two people were hurt in a big rig collision in Bakersfield on Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck took place on 7th Standard Road and Cherry Avenue at about 1:06 p.m. June 19.
The CHP reported that a white GMC truck was traveling west on 7th Standard Road when it drifted into the eastbound side and collided head-on with a semi-truck.
The driver of the GMC was airlifted to Kern Medical with major injuries.
The driver of the big rig was treated for minor injuries.
The crash caused nearly 40 gallons of diesel spillage from the big rig.
Roads were temporarily shut down as crews worked to clear the scene.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
