Thurston County, WA – Two people were injured in a collision in Thurston County on Sunday morning, according to the Thurston County Sheriff's Office.

The crash was reported at about 12:30 a.m. June 9, on Sleater Kinney Road Northeast at 26th Avenue Northeast.

Authorities said a man in his 20s was traveling at a high rate of speed when he failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection and collided with another vehicle.

The man in his 20s was ejected by the impact of the accident.

Both drivers were taken to Providence St. Peters Hospital in Olympia with unspecified injuries.

DUI is suspected to have played a role in the incident.
