Spokane, Wash. – Two drivers were injured in a rollover crash on Monday in Spokane.

The accident happened at the intersection of East Sprague and Myrtle avenues, according to the Spokane Police Department.

SPD says an Audi was being driven recklessly eastbound at a high rate of speed before it collided with a Prius at the intersection.

The impact of the crash caused the Audi to overturn.

Both drivers were taken to hospital with severe, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The owner of the Audi came to the scene and said his son had been driving the car.

The son was placed under arrest for reckless driving.

Alcohol and drugs did not play a role in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
