2 Injured in Bellevue Crash with US DOT Truck on State Route 520 near West Lake Sammamish

Bellevue, WA – Two people were hurt when a suspected DUI motorist slammed into a Department of Transportation (DOT) truck early Wednesday morning in Bellevue, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The collision occurred on State Route 520 near West Lake Sammamish at around 6 a.m.

WSP said a DOT attenuator truck that was providing traffic control for a lane sweeping operation on the eastbound side of State Route 520 was hit by another vehicle.

The driver who hit the truck was taken to Overlake Medical Center with minor injuries.

According to the report, the driver was arrested for DUI.

The operator of the attenuator truck was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
