Menifee, Calif. – Two people including a police officer were injured in a vehicle collision at an intersection in Menifee Sunday night.
According to the Menifee Police Department, the wreck happened at around 9:30 p.m. on March 18 at Holland and Menifee Roads.
Investigators said the officer was headed to an assault call involving a firearm and entered the intersection with emergency and light sirens activated when it collided with pickup truck going through the intersection on a green light.
Both the officer and the driver of the second car suffered minor injuries in the accident.
