North Highlands, Calif. – Two people are dead and two others are in hospital following a two-vehicle traffic collision at an intersection in North Highlands Sunday afternoon, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.
The deadly incident happened at about 3:33 p.m. in the area of Andrea and Elkhorn Boulevards.
A witness told investigators that one of the involved cars suddenly swerved and collided with the other.
Two people died in the incidents. Two others were hospitalized with minor to moderate injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
