, California (January 6, 2021) – A three-vehicle collision has claimed the lives of two people Wednesday morning in Sacramento, a local news source reported.

The deadly crash happened at about 9:00 a.m. on January 5 on Highway 160.

According to the local news report, a 19-year-old man was driving a Nissan car on Highway 160 when he drifted into the opposite lane and collided with two oncoming vehicles, a 2016 Toyota Rav 4 and a 2021 GMC Sierra.

Double Fatality on Highway 160 in Sacramento

The Nissan driver and her passenger, a 48-year-old woman, were pronounced dead at the scene. The names of the victims have not been disclosed pending notification of their respective next of kin.

The other two drivers sustained only minor injuries.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
