, California (October 31, 2021) – Two people were killed and four others were injured in a traffic accident Sunday evening in Downtown Sacramento.

According to a report by the Sacramento Police Department, the Halloween incident happened on 7th and L streets at about 8:20 p.m.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision, whose cause was not immediately determined.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene while another person was transported to a hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries. The names of the victims have not been disclosed pending notification of their respective families.

Four other people were transported to the hospital, two with major injuries and the remaining two with moderate injuries. Their current conditions were not available.

Traffic was expected to be impacted for some hours as crews worked at the scene.

The Sacramento Police Department responded to the incident and are working to find out what caused it.
