2 Drivers Killed in Turlock Crash at South Carpenter Road and West Main Avenue

Modesto, California (February 28, 2022) – Two motorists were killed in an early Monday morning car crash west of Turlock, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The tragic collision occurred at around 5:40 a.m. in the area of South Carpenter Road and West Main Avenue.
Officials say a man was driving a 2016 Subaru SUV westbound on West Main Street and was attempting to pass vehicles ahead of him when he collided head-on with an oncoming 2006 Honda sedan driven by a 45-year-old man from Patterson.
Deadly Car Crash near Turlock
The Subaru overturned and caught fire.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Officials say both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
No further details about the crash were immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
