Shortly after, a commercial vehicle traveling through the area slammed into the stopped vehicles

Tucson, AZ.- Two people were killed in an accident involving multiple vehicles in Tucson on Sunday morning, according to the Arizona State Department of Public Safety.
The incident took place on Interstate 10, near the Speedway exit at about 8:30 p.m. June 1.
According to the report, a minor collision left a vehicle partially parked in a westbound lane of I-10.
Another driver pulled over into the median and stepped out to assist the occupant of the stalled vehicle.
Shortly after, a commercial vehicle traveling through the area slammed into the stopped vehicles.
Two passengers were inside the vehicle that had stopped to help and were both killed in the crash.
The drivers were standing outside and were not injured.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
