2 Killed in Fiery Car Accident on Olympic Parkway near Otay Lakes in Chula Vista
San Diego, California (December 27, 2021) – Two people were killed in a fiery car crash near the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in the Otay Ranch neighborhood of Chula Vista on Sunday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the double fatal crash happened at about 10 p.m., December 26, on Olympic Parkway, just west of Otay Lakes.
A vehicle was speeding on the roadway when it crashed into another car. The impact of the collision sent one car off the roadway, where it caught fire.
Two people were found dead inside the burning vehicle.
The identities of the deceased were not immediately disclosed.
