LAPD officers responded to the area of Fourth and Rose avenues in Venice after they were informed about the reports of a disturbance in a homeless encampment of people living in their vehicles in the area.

Los Angeles, CA. – Two Los Angeles Police Department officers were injured in a police pursuit crash that happened early Friday morning on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Los Angeles.
LAPD officers responded to the area of Fourth and Rose avenues in Venice after they were informed about the reports of a disturbance in a homeless encampment of people living in their vehicles in the area.
When the officers arrived in the area, a woman in a van drove off, striking an LAPD patrol vehicle. The officers started chasing the suspect.
The woman drove the van heading in the wrong direction on 405 Freeway at speeds of up to 100 mph. The van eventually slammed into multiple vehicles, including a big rig, bringing the chase to an end.
Authorities said no serious injuries were reported. The officers in the patrol car that was struck by the van were evaluated for their injuries, and at least one of them was hospitalized.
At least one person in the freeway crash was hospitalized.
The suspect was arrested at the scene.
