2 Men Killed in DUI Crash on Jersey Avenue in Lemoore

63-Year-Old Man and 52-Year-Old Man Killed in Crash on Jersey Avenue 

Lemoore, California (July 3, 2022) – Two men, a 63-year-old driver, and a 52-year-old passenger, both from , were killed in a Friday night suspected DUI accident in Lemoore, authorities said.

The deadly accident occurred at about 11:45 p.m., on July 1, on Jersey Avenue.

According to the CHP, Santana Yanez, 26, of Lemoore, was headed eastbound on Jersey Avenue at a high rate of speed in a 2020 Toyota Corolla when he collided with a northbound 2006 Nissan Quest minivan driven by the 63-year-old man.

The 63-year-old man allegedly pulled into the path of the Corolla. Yanez could not stop and crashed into the driver's side of the .

Sadly, the 63-year-old man and his passenger, the 52-year-old man, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Yanez was accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and was arrested. SkyLife took Yanez to Kaweah Health Medical Center with major injuries.

Lemoore, California (July 2, 2022) – Two men were killed in a suspected DUI collision in Lemoore late Friday night, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident took place just before midnight on Jersey Avenue west of 17th Avenue.

CHP said Santana Yanez, 26, of Lemoore, was driving eastbound on Jersey Avenue at a high rate of speed when he collided with the driver's side of a Nissan that was exiting the Palace Casino Resort.

Two men in the Nissan were both killed in the collision.

Yanez was flown to Kaweah Health Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.

He was also arrested on DUI charges following the collision, authorities said.

The CHP is investigating the incident.
