Santa Barbara, Calif. A 34-year-old man, identified as Salvador Jimenez, suspected to be the driver of a pickup truck involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning in Santa Barbara, has been arrested, according to the Santa Barbara Police Department.

According to Santa Barbara PD, Jimenez was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and driving on a suspended license. His bail was set a $500,000
Police say Guerrero was arrested and booked on suspicion of destruction of evidence and being an accessory to a felony. Her bail was set at $20,000.
Detectives interviewed a third possible suspect connected to the case but were not arrested, authorities said.
According to Santa Barbara PD, the deadly crash happened at around 2 a.m. February 24 on Santa Barbara and Cota Streets.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the motor scooter rider was hit by a pickup truck driven by Jimenez. After hitting the rider, Jimenez kept going with the scooter wedged underneath the front end of his vehicle, before abandoning the vehicle and fleeing on foot.

Santa Barbara, Calif. – A male scooter rider was killed in a crash early Saturday morning at an intersection in Santa Barbara.
The Santa Barbara Police Department responded to the wreck at around 2 a.m. on Santa Barbara and Cota Streets.
A pickup truck fatally hit a man on a scooter before fleeing the scene.
The name of the deceased was upheld pending notification of the next of kin.
