Phoenix, AZ. – Two police officers and a woman were hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened Friday afternoon in south Phoenix, authorities reported.

Investigators said a woman driving a white sedan made a U-turn in front of a PPD patrol car, causing a collision.
Two police officers and a woman sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. All the patients were taken to hospitals for treatment. The officers were expected to be released Friday night, but the woman was expected to remain at the hospital.
19th Avenue remained closed during the investigation.
