Male and Female Riders Suffer Major Injuries after Motorcycle Vs. Semi Crash on South Union Avenue
Bakersfield, California (July 27, 2022) – Two riders were seriously injured when their motorcycle collided with a semi-truck Wednesday afternoon in Bakersfield, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred just after 1:00 p.m. near 9205 South Union Avenue.
CHP said a motorcycle collided with a semi-truck under unclear circumstances.
The male and female riders on the motorcycle ended up underneath the semi. Good Samaritans were attempting to help them before first responders arrived.
The male rider sustained a broken arm, and the female rider suffered a broken leg. Paramedics responded to the scene and took the patients to the hospital.
The driver of the semi stopped and remained at the scene after the collision.
CHP is investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
