At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Vallejo Car Accident on Interstate 780 near Glen Cove Road Off-Ramp
Vallejo, California (August 17, 2022) – Two people were trapped in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday evening in Vallejo, the California Highway Patrol said.
The collision occurred at about 7:36 p.m. on westbound Interstate 780, just east of Glen Cove Road off-ramp.
Three vehicles, including a Lexus SUV and a gray Honda CR-V, were involved in the accident.
One person was trapped inside one of the cars in the center divider with a broken leg. Another person was also trapped in a vehicle on the right-hand shoulder with the complaints of pain to the abdomen.
Paramedics responded to the scene and helped the victims.
The Lexus acquired left side damage and ended up about 10 feet off the roadway.
CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
