23-Year-Old Chino Woman Among 2 Killed in Pomona Crash on Pomona (60) Freeway

Pomona, California (April 17, 2022) – A 23-year-old Chino woman was among two women killed in a multi-vehicle accident in Pomona early Sunday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
The collision happened at about 1:55 a.m. on the Pomona (60) Freeway, west of Reservoir Street.
According to the report, a woman was driving a 2019 Honda Civic at an unsafe speed eastbound on the freeway when she slammed into the rear of a 2013 Toyota Camry stopped at the scene of a previous collision.
The Chino woman was a passenger in the Camry.
Two Women Killed in Pomona Crash on 60 Freeway
The passenger and the driver of the Honda were both pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
The other motorist, a 24-year Chino man, was taken to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
All eastbound lanes of the 60 Freeway were shut down for several hours as authorities worked at the scene.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the incident.
