1 Injured in Watsonville Motorcycle Accident on State Route 1 near Buena Vista Drive

Watsonville, California (November 19, 2021) – One person was seriously injured in a collision involving a motorcyclist in Watsonville on Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred on State Route 1 south of Buena Vista Drive at around 9 a.m.
CHP said the rider was operating a 2022 BMW motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he collided with the rear of a 2014 Mercedes.

The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old Watsonville man, sustained major injuries and was taken to Natividad Medical Center for treatment.
The other driver, a Salinas woman, was not injured and stayed at the scene after the collision.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the incident.
