3 Injured in Collision on 80 Freeway near San Pablo Ave in Oakland
Oakland, California (May 28, 2022) – At least three children were injured in a Friday evening collision in Oakland.
The accident happened on westbound 80 Freeway near San Pablo Avenue at around 5:50 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two sedans were involved in the collision. The manner in which the collision happened, however, were injured in the collision.
Officials say three juveniles sustained unspecified injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
More details about the crash were not provided.
CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.

According to statistics by NHTSA, over 15,000 lives were saved by seat belts in crashes that happened in 2017. In 2020, 10,893 unbuckled people in passenger vehicles died in crashes in the US. 60% of the young adults (ages 18 to 34) killed in the crashes were completely unrestrained.
