Police Officer Among 3 Hurt in Fresno Crash at Cesar Chavez Boulevard and Peach Avenue

Fresno, CA. – A police officer was among three people injured in a collision that took place in southeast Fresno on Wednesday morning, according to the Fresno Police Department.

The wreck happened in the area of Cesar Chavez Boulevard and Peach Avenue at about 7:45 a.m.

A Fresno Police School Resource Officer responding to a call at a school had their lights and sirens on while traveling southbound on Peach Avenue.

Other vehicles at the intersection stopped and yielded to the police vehicle but a green pickup heading east on Cesar Chavez Boulevard failed to stop and collided with the police vehicle.

The pickup truck then collided with another northbound vehicle, which in turn crashed into a fourth vehicle.

The police officer and the two people riding in the pickup truck were taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.

No further details were released.

The accident is under investigation.
