Naches, WA.- Three people were injured in a traffic collision that took place in Naches on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The incident happened on Highway 12 and West Naches Road at about 12:50 p.m. July 9.
According to WSP, Joyce Vandenburgh, 82, of Yakima, was driving a white 2021 Toyota Venza when she tried to enter the highway and failed to yield to the right-of-way.
The Toyota crashed with a black 1994 Ford F-350 pickup driven by an 18-year-old.
Both drivers and a passenger in the Toyota were transported to MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Three other passengers in the Ford were unhurt.
Authorities reported that Vandenburgh will be charged with failure to yield to the right-of-way.
The Washington State Patrol is investigating the accident.
