San Diego, Calif. – Authorities are investigating a major injury car crash that happened near Bonsall in San Diego on Sunday night.
The accident was reported around 11:26 p.m. in the area of Gopher Canyon Road and Hoxie Ranch Road.
The California Highway Patrol says two vehicles, possibly a pickup truck and a Toyota Camry, were involved in the collision.
Two people were trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated by the fire department.
Three people were injured in the accident and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
