3 Hurt in Seattle Crash on Interstate 5 near Columbian Way

Seattle, Wash. – Three people were injured in a wrong-way collision in Seattle early Thursday morning, Washington State Patrol said.

The collision occurred on north of Columbian Way just before 12:30 a.m. January 4.

The WSP said a 27-year-old woman was driving south in the northbound lanes of I-5 when she collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.

The two occupants of the second vehicle were transported to hospital with unspecified injuries.

The driver of the southbound vehicle was also taken to a hospital for treatment of her injuries.

She is also expected to face charges of vehicular assault and potentially DUI.

The WSP is handling the investigation.
