, Calif. – Three people were injured in a wrong-way collision that took place in Santa Barbara on Monday night, according to the Santa Barbara City Fire Department.

The wreck took place on Highway 101 near the Bath Street offramp just before 11 p.m. December 25.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a minivan and a Toyota Tundra pickup truck collided on the northbound side of Highway 101 after one of the drivers went the wrong way.

One person had moderate injuries while two other parties were critically hurt. The patients were transported by ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

The pickup rolled onto its side following the crash and its driver had to be pulled out firefighters.

The debris from the crash hit at least three other vehicles. No other injuries were reported.

The crash is under investigation.
