George Gulan, Sandra Gulan and Wade Mitchell Injured in Car Accident on Red Rock Road in Plumas County

Plumas County, California (February 25, 2022) – Three people were hospitalized following a Thursday afternoon traffic collision in Plumas County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Red Rock Road near the intersection with US-395 at around 1 p.m.
74-year-old George Gulan, of Reno, was driving a 2008 Ford Escape westbound on Red Rock Road and was making a left-hand turn onto Highway 395 when he collided with a northbound 2000 Subaru Outback driven by Wade Mitchell, 60, of Herlong.
The impact caused the Ford Escape to spin around and come to rest at the intersection while the Subaru veered off the roadway and crashed into a large highway sign.
George and his passenger, 77-year-old Sandra Gulan, were injured in the crash and were transported to Renown Medical Center.
Wade was also injured in the accident and was taken to Renown Medical Center for treatment.
Officials say both occupants of the Ford were wearing seatbelts while Wade was not wearing a seatbelt.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
