A vehicle carrying five people reportedly collided head-on with a second vehicle occupied by one person

Marysville, CA.- Three people were killed while three others were hurt in a traffic collision that took place in Marysville on Saturday afternoon, according to the Marysville Police Department.
The wreck happened on Highway 70 near 24th Street at about 2:45 p.m.
A vehicle carrying five people reportedly collided head-on with a second vehicle occupied by one person.
According to police, three people were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Three other parties, including a minor, were transported to hospital with major injuries.
One party had to be airlifted from the scene.
Speed is being investigated as a factor in the crash, police reported.
The Marysville Police Department and the Yuba County Sheriff's Department are investigating the incident.
